Many Innovations for the Bolt EV and EUV in 2023

The car manufacturer follows the electric trend started a few years ago! The Chevrolet cars Bolt and Volt satisfied people looking for good autonomy and drivability. And Chevrolet still keeps on innovating!

Innovations are planned soon for the Bolt EV and the Bolt EUV. From Chevrolet’s promise to its technical features, and comparing both models… Christin Automobile, your Chevrolet dealership, tells you everything!

2023 Chevrolet Bolt EV: Instant Acceleration

A fun fact about electric vehicles: their torque works differently than with gasoline cars. Due to its feed, they can reach their maximum torque very quickly. A reality that Chevrolet Bolt drivers still appreciate just as much!

For the 2023 Chevrolet Bolt EV model, some restructuring has been made. Taking up the torch from the 2022 Bolt EV, changes were brought to keep the same driving thrill.

Inside, we traded the gearshift lever for buttons. This allowed Chevrolet to reorganize the central dashboard, which now has more space. Infotainment stays in familiar territory: the screen is still 10.2 inches with a software update, making everything clearer.

The 2023 Chevrolet Bolt EV and its driving range are still discreet, but with a current range of 417 km for the 2022 model, we know what to expect!

The 2023 Bolt EV has introduced one-pedal driving to its line. Once activated, the car’s slowdown becomes faster when taking your foot off the accelerator. That way, you’ll be able to stop the car completely.

Built for comfort, Chevrolet’s 2023 Bolt includes:

  • An engine with a power of 200 hp
  • Apple CarPlay and Android Auto availability
  • An optional Bose sound system
  • A 120- or 240-volt rechargeability

2023 Chevrolet Bolt EUV: Bigger and With More Technology

Both models serve similar needs: owning a reliable electric utility vehicle. But it might not be the only thing you’re looking for and we understand that!

The Chevrolet Bolt EUV will be the only model to offer optional Super Cruise technology, a hands-free driving experience! The car benefits from the technologies installed to offer assisted driving on compatible roads throughout Canada and the United States. The Car Guide describes Super Cruise’s semi-autonomous driving system, already present in some Cadillac models:

“To activate it, it’s super easy. Simply engage the cruise control, then press the button with the icon of a steering wheel, place directly on the wheel. By activating it, the system will display a green light on top of the wheel to confirm that you can let the vehicle take control.”

Two versions of the vehicle will be sold, the Lt version and the Premier version. Here are the characteristics to keep in mind for both versions:

Chevrolet Bolt EUV or EV?

Bolt EV or EUV: the question you’re probably asking yourself! Let’s start by saying that in both cases, you’ll be driving a reliable electric car. In fact, The Car Guide gave the 2022 Best Buys Award to the Chevrolet Bolt EV and EUV:

“The Bolt EV and Bolt EUV are really solid and compelling products in terms of space and driving experience. They also have great prices and qualify for all available EV rebates.”

The main difference between both models is their size: closer to an SUV, the Bolt EUV is six inches longer, including three more inches behind the steering wheel.

This size difference means a weight difference for both cars. The driving range ends up very slightly revised downwards for the EUV model, going from 417 km to 402 km compared to the current 2022 models. A very small decrease compared to the benefits provided.

The 2023 Chevrolet Bolt EUV’s official price hasn’t been announced yet: the manufacturer’s suggested retail price for the 2022 model is somewhere between $40,198 and $43,698 at the time of writing, a better price then the gasoline equivalents in its category.
